NRI Shelter Manager (Full Time)

NRI Shelter is looking for a Shelter Manager to oversee all operations of the program. NRI Shelter provides emergency shelter to individuals, families and couples.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Provide emergency shelter to individuals, families, and couples.
  • Assign each individual to a case manager for assessment of need and for the development of a unique housing plan.
  • Ensure program adherence to all relevant licensing, funding, and accreditation standards.
  • Participate in ongoing supervision of staff and with direct supervisor.
  • Participate in ongoing training and participation in any agency-wide efforts.
  • Preference to bi-lingual/multi-lingual individuals.
  • Oversee CES and HMIS referrals as well as intake.
  • Manage any resident, staff, and/or building needs.
  • Delegate responsibilities to appropriate staff.
  • Participate in on-going training and any state efforts regarding the housing population.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING REQUIRED:

High school diploma with a minimum of three five years of employment in human services field, preferably in the provision of shelter/housing services.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Services are provided via the Shelter and in the community. Must be flexible and able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. May have to lift up to 15 pounds on occasion.
