Job Details

Shift Hours: Tuesday-Friday and some Mondays depending on schedule

  • 10-hour shifts from 7:00am - 5:00pm

The Delivery Specialist is responsible for delivering product and maintaining inventory for the assigned corporate accounts within the livestock Business Unit. These accounts range from dairy and Beef production facilities to Vet Clinics. This position reports through sales operations team and works closely with territory and regional sales managers as well as maintaining a close working relationship with Distribution facilities. Product is transported from company distribution facility to customer locations on a daily basis

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Must possess exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

  • Will be responsible for delivery, inventory control, stocking of animal health products in designated areas located at each customer-designated location.

  • Utilize the computer to enter products into the Cubex Inventory Control system at each yard and be proficient with the Cubex system if required.

  • Must be able to use the Slam system to enter inventory into each Cubex system if required.

  • Must be competent in the use of Outlook, Internet, Company Intranet sources.

  • Act as a resource to the customer with topics like inventory management, equipment and products, etc.

  • Comply with other requests from MWI Territory Managers and leadership.

  • Participate in conference calls and meetings as requested.

  • Duties and responsibilities specific to Delivery Driver for Animal Health supplies.

  • Possess the ability to drive a Box truck safely and with proficiency.

  • Drives truck to designated location then loads and unloads supplies and equipment as directed by bill of ladings and customer orders

  • Must have an acceptable driving record and be able to operate a motor vehicle for extended periods while traveling on Company business.

  • Inspect truck equipment , supplies, such as tires, lights, brakes, diesel, oil, and water for defects, before and after trips

  • Maintain vehicle upkeep by performing general maintenance and addressing safety concerns including:

  • Report all discrepancies and safety concerns to Sales operations manager

  • Report all needed major repairs to Sales operations manager

  • Performs emergency roadside repairs

  • Ensures cargo is secure during transit

  • Maintain accurate driving records and follows all regulations including:

  • DOT and Hazmat regulations and procedures

  • Daily log

  • Inspection reports

  • Cargo loads

  • Customer receipts

  • Follows all procedures as detailed in the Delivery Specialist Procedure Manual

Requirements:

Associate's Degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in an Agriculture related field.

  • Adequate mobility to continually walk and stand; pull orders from various shelf heights; and ability to lift up to 35 lbs-50 lbs regularly is required.

  • Occasionally will move 100 lbs from pallet to pallet.

  • Must be able to read and understand English, have basic mathematical skills, number recognition skills, and good hand/eye coordination.

  • Good customer service skills and a sense of urgency are required.

  • Must be available for on-call rotation.
