Join our team in helping seniors thrive in our Supported living community where we help seniors with a wide range of needs to retain their independence by being supported in their own unit at Joshua Arms of LSSI, a HUD funded community. OurCertifiedNursing Assistantposition is apart-time floaterand works together the entire Supportive Living team to provide person centered care. If you are that person, we welcome you to interview for the Certified Nursing Assistant position.

Shift Hours: Monday through Friday from 2PM-10PM
Every otherSaturday and Sunday

Essential Functions:
  • Assists residents with Activities of Daily Living as stated on resident's individualized service plan.
  • Provides personal care services for residents, including, but not limited to bathing, dressing, personal hygiene, assisting to meals, and daily wellness checks.
  • Conduct rounds as scheduled: including vital signs & medication reminders.
  • Maintain communication with residents and other staff members as appropriate.
  • Answer call lights, perform laundry duties, and provide any supportive care as necessary to maintain resident safety.
  • Perform light housekeeping as needed.
  • Complete required paperwork (charting, logbooks, etc.) and conduct a verbal report at all change of shifts.
  • Report any change of condition to nurses.
  • Ability to follow directions of supervisor and work well with others as a team.
  • Report all changes of conditions to RN/LPN
  • Demonstrate professional, positive behavior and carry out responsibilities with integrity, treating clients, families, other LSSI workforce members, and collaborative organizations and/or individual in a dignified, respectful, honest and fair manner.
Position Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Completion of Illinois Certified Nurse Assistant Program & competency testing required.
  • Certified in emergency resuscitation.
  • Completion of tuberculin skin test (step 2)
  • Background Check clearance required.
  • Pass Health Care Worker Background Check.
  • Willingness and ability to participate required training as necessary to meet requirements of the Supportive Living Program.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully follow directions and to work with others as a team.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate in a clear, comprehensible manner, both verbally and in writing.
