Position Summary The Solution Architect uses expertise in multiple technical areas to document the technology solutions that meet the business needs of PG&E. The technical documents ensure requirements are met in an efficient, sustainable and adaptable manner. The Solutions Architect operates across organizational and computing areas driving efficient, standards-based architecture supporting PG&E's business goals. The Solutions Architect delivers solution blueprints that include theconceptual, logical and physical layers of the process, application, information, integration, security, and infrastructure views of the architecture. Partnering with Project and Program Managers, the Solutions Architect is the primary technical decision maker on projects. The domains of Business, Information, Applications and Technology are all considered by theSolution Architect; with an emphasis on Application, Information, Cyber Security, and Integration. Overall risk mitigation and total cost of ownership are managed from an enterprise standpoint. All architects participate in the overall IT Architecture Practice regardless of their location in the IT organization. PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. We would not anticipate that the individual hired into this role would land at or near the top half of the range described below, but the decision will be dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable salary range is: Bay Area Minimum: $128,000.00 Bay Area Maximum: $218,000.00 California Minimum: $122,000.00 California Maximum: $207,000.00 Job Responsibilities Expert Solution Architects have accountability and responsibility for focus areas that are of complex scope and with significant risk and high impact. They work independently with guidance required only for complex tasks. They address complex problems and may manage projects or initiatives that are of moderate to high complexity and risk. They provide guidance to non-architect technical staff that are typically up to a principal level. They generally work with Directors andManagers to influence decisions. Solution Design and Road mapping: Works in partnership with a project manager to orchestrate the architecture design and is accountable for providing quality solutions for projects. Follows the IT Methodology, producing and contributing to deliverables as defined. SA's manage and govern the technical solutions across the portfolio of projects within their focus area. Future State Planning and Road mapping: Works with Enterprise Architects to contribute to planning and road mapping activities. Standards and Governance: Participates in the governance processes as defined by the PG&E architecture practice. Capabilities Assessment and Technology Oversight: Assists in the health evaluation of the technology within the architect's focus area and assists in the development of improvement plans for their area of focus. Architecture Practice: Follows the PG&E Architecture Practice. Helps drive continuous improvement of the practice. Participates in communities within the practice. Qualifications Minimum:
