Title: Back Office Operations Specialist

Department: AE Wealth Management

Location: Topeka KS - Onsite

Overview:

The Back-Office team is essential to the success of AE Wealth Management. They support all areas of the division through data monitoring to ensure processes, procedures and systems are functioning properly. The Back-Office Specialist role is comprised of daily audit work, assisting advisors, weekly/ monthly/ quarterly reporting, and some large complex projects. In this position you must use critical thinking skills to swiftly identify issues, make necessary corrections, and offer long term solutions. If you have an analytical mind and enjoy the challenges of problem solving in a fast-paced environment, this is the team is for you.

This role is situated in Topeka, Kansas, and it is exclusively an on-site arrangement. Moreover, please note that the company does not extend sponsorship opportunities.

What you'll do:


  • Daily business audits, including but not limited to; opened accounts, money movement, new platform assets, and report generation
  • Analyze data for system errors, identify trends, and research any inconsistencies to determine long term solutions
  • Troubleshoot technology issues that arise and provide problem resolution
  • Provide support to employees and advisors on various system issues
  • Regularly test system updates for accuracy
  • Create, maintain, and execute operational procedures to ensure data accuracy on the AEWM platform
  • Lead/assist with complex projects that include sorting through large amounts of data


Experience you'll bring:


  • Previous professional experience working with problem resolution, data analytics, or technology
  • Working knowledge in Microsoft Excel (experience in VBA a plus); an aptitude for learning new technology
  • Ability to independently manage projects/tasks while navigating a variety of competing priorities
  • Strong organizational skills: Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy in a fast-paced environment
  • Confident, professional, and articulate in written and verbal communication



Bonus Points:


  • 2+ years of financial services experience, specifically in operations
  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field
  • Security licenses
  • Experience with portfolio management systems, specifically Orion Advisor Technology
  • Microsoft Power BI experience
