Team & Role:

In this role, you will be a part of the PTC revenue team reporting to the Revenue Assurance Senior Manager. The successful candidate will be a key contributor to many departmental goals/objectives and lead multiple projects impacting PTC's worldwide finance community. In addition to working closely within the revenue team to understand both revenue recognition and various financial analyses, you will have the opportunity to interface across multiple functional organizations within the PTC ecosystem. The ideal candidate will be proactive, possess strong analytical and collaboration skills, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

PTC is undergoing a transformation to transition our business into a best in class subscription company with cloud-based and on-premise offerings. The Revenue Assurance team is responsible for navigating the complexities associated with our transition to a new business model, the adoption of new regulatory rules and the revenue impact, ensuring that our systems recognize revenue properly and the accounting treatment is in accordance with US GAAP. We are a highly motivated, high performing multi-national organization with team members in the US, Europe and Asia.

Day-To-Day:

  • Perform contract reviews for revenue related contracts to determine appropriate accounting treatment under ASC606 and document conclusions
  • Review, recalculate, and analyze the accounting of revenue contracts in the revenue accounting automation system and communicate any required adjustments and/or revenue judgements to the Revenue Accounting team
  • Collaborate with Global Support, Global Services and Cloud Services to ensure revenue is recognized accurately
  • Assist in updating internal revenue policies and procedures and ensure procedures are followed in compliance with the Company's SOX controls
  • Coordinate and/or review and respond to internal and external audit queries for corporate quarterly and annual audits to ensure auditors are receiving required information in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Clarify operating procedures and help drive process improvement initiatives
  • Complete monthly account reconciliations for revenue and revenue related accounts
  • Assist in the compilation of various financial statement disclosures

Preferred Skills and Knowledge:

  • Understanding of general accounting principles and standards (knowledge of ASC606 preferred)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Intellectual curiosity and creativity
  • Ability to think critically while analyzing and interpreting data sets
  • Strong attention to detail, time management, and organization
  • Capable of communicating effectively both verbally and in writing

Basic Qualifications:

  • 0-2 years of experience in accounting, finance or related field (Public Accounting firm experience a plus) or relevant degree
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
