As a Commodities Solutions Sales Specialist you will be responsible for engaging North American based clients across our existing segment and for actively hunting and growing new business to achieve revenue targets. You will work in collaboration with Account Managers to find opportunities to deliver the full suite of LSEG Commodities products, with primary responsibility for front office workflow (desktop terminal) solutions - LSEG Workspace. You will lead on engagements aligned to multiple customer types (Hedge Funds, Banks, Asset Managers, Corporations etc.) within your defined territory and work in close partnership with internal partners to proactively drive gross sales and revenue. You are responsible for developing your own opportunities and for growth within your territory.

The Commodity business at LSEG offers a range of solutions across the broader Commodity ecosystem. This role will report to the Director Trading Sales (FICC) in the Americas and will be part of the broader team committed to engaging customers and helping to communicate the value proposition of the London Stock Exchange Group.

Role Responsibilities

  • Structure, negotiate and close deals. Excels in advancing opportunities through sales stages; exceeding close rate expectations by anticipating obstacles and late-stage delays, preventing them from disrupting sales. Manages administrative requests such as proposals, benchmark calculators and salesforce related tasks to progress against sales goals at pace and with efficiency
  • Build and develop strong internal relationships with Account Managers and other key partners
  • Develop the territory sales strategy to identify sales opportunities and achieve sales targets. Seeks new business or new product sales through new account acquisition and / or penetration of new buyer hubs and delivers against target in assigned territory
  • Conduct high-efficiency, high-output prospecting; collaborates effectively with lead-gen, account management, and other colleagues ensuring constant coverage of expansion opportunities and participation in customer life-cycle framework
  • Provide Commodity insights and LSEG thought leadership with customers: Inspires confidence in customers through domain expertise. Integrates knowledge of industry trends and personal experience to deliver value to customer(s). Builds value connections within the client organization, demonstrating network to facilitate introductions and unlock previously inaccessible opportunities
  • Deliver customer demonstrations on Commodity products to customers and prospects. Proactively thinks through customer workflows and how they can be impacted as a basis for solutions selling and cross-business deal making to enhance contract value

Qualifications and Experience Required

  • 5+ years of industry, sales or market experience selling desktop/fintech workflow solutions
  • Proven track record in a quota bearing sales environment
  • Deep understanding of financial markets - specifically Commodities (power, gas, oil, agriculture etc.) and a strong understanding of customers' business models and workflows
  • Strong sales closer with world class, consultative selling and relationship skills
  • Creative thinker and good sales ideation skills
  • Excellent presentation skills (verbal & written)
  • Strong listening skills
  • Ability to organize and implement a sales plan
  • Executive presence
  • World class selling and relationship skills (identify, develop, & articulate proposition/ consultative selling) as a "hunter"
  • Ability to travel as needed (30-40%)

Education:

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred

Compensation/Benefits Information (New York applicants only):

LSEG is committed to offering competitive Compensation and Benefits. The anticipated base salary for this position is $142,600 - $265,000. Please be aware base salary ranges may vary by geographic location, city and state. In addition to our offered base salary, this role is eligible for our Variable Incentive Compensation plan. Target variable compensation will be commensurate with the posted career stage. Individual salary will be reflective of job related knowledge, skills and equivalent experience. LSEG roles (excluding internships and part-time roles of less than 20 hours per week) are typically eligible for inclusion in our LSEG Benefits program, which includes offerings of: Annual Wellness Allowance, Paid time-off, Medical, Dental, Vision, Flex Spending & Health Savings Options, Prescription Drug plan, 401(K) Savings Plan and Company match.
