POSITION SUMMARY

Official job title is: Regional CPI - CPR Trainer. This position will coordinate and provide on-site training for new hires to meet training requirements for positions as well as provide ongoing training annually to existing staff to meet compliance for regulations. They will collaborate with LMS Administrator to track training in Relias, will evaluate training, report on compliance and collaborate with operations leaders and the Director Clinical Learning to support Telecare's mission and values.

Full Time; Salaried

Often Monday - Friday; 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, however this role will need to be flexible to work some early morning/nights/weekends

Expected starting wage range is $68,640.00 - $74,434.67 salaried. Telecare applies geographic differentials to its pay ranges. The pay range assigned to this role will be based on the geographic location from which the role is performed. Starting pay is commensurate with relevant experience above the minimum requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:



  • HS Diploma or GED, two (2) years' experience working in a healthcare setting, including one (1) year experience providing CPI and CPR training, or an associate or bachelor's degree.
  • Must be CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) certified on date of employment or within 60 days of employment and maintain current certification throughout employment
  • Must be CPR & First Aid certified on date of employment or within 60 days of employment and maintain current certification throughout employment


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS



  • Demonstrate the Telecare mission, purpose, values and beliefs in everyday language and contact with the internal and external stakeholders
  • Contribute to corporate training efforts, as defined by Director of Clinical Learning and RDO(s) of Operations managing customer contract
  • Plan, organize, schedule, and direct CPI and CPR training for assigned programs
  • Deliver in-person trainings that are learner-centered and performance-based
  • Deliver in-person RCCS Basics or other training courses aligned with Telecare's clinical mission
  • Responsible to compile & score the written assessment and evaluation of basic competencies of physical skills to certify employees in the essential safety trainings of CPI and CPR
  • Utilize effective training facilitation
  • Evaluate and assess the training, provide feedback
  • Responsible for completing a training needs assessment for regional programs and creating Training Plans that support the training needs
  • Responsible for maintaining monthly calendars for scheduled trainings
  • Plan and implement annual Training Plan
  • Maintain records and reports of all staff education within Relias LMS (learning management system)
  • Manages completion & compliance reports for program staff
  • Maintains report updates for changing completion and compliance rates to program leaders
  • Provides Overdue compliance reports to program leaders to help mitigate safety risks
  • Partner with operations leaders to create plan to correct low compliance rate
  • Conduct and maintain a training schedule that meet the Corporate, CARF, and DMH requirements
  • Maintain lesson plans and evaluations for each training
  • At Inpatient program, must assist with restraint of members served in the event of assaultive behavior and pass assault crisis/crisis prevention training
  • At Outpatient program, must evade members served in the event of assaultive behavior and pass assault crisis/crisis prevention training

  • Scheduling, writing lesson plans for interactive trainings, maintaining necessary records, teaching, and evaluation
