The Vice President - Financial Operations is a key leader that supports the organization's financial health by managing day-to-day financial processes and operational efficiency. They are responsible for managing Telecare's financial systems, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and optimizing internal controls within each region and program.

The Vice President - Financial Operations must be an operations-oriented, hands-on leader who can oversee the tools, systems, metrics, and processes to help the company scale for the future and foster a culture of transparency and accountability for driving profitable growth, while ensuring that finance is seen as a value-added business partner. The Vice President - Financial Operations oversees the day-to-day financial activities of all programs and provides actionable insights at both the enterprise level and on a regional and program level. This position requires working closely with multiple business partners including the program and regional operating personnel and corporate leaders. The position will ensure a priority of the financial operations department is to effectively communicate and educate to build business acumen in our field operations. Understanding the financial drivers and risks and communicating those to partner with operations leadership on implementing solutions, is key to the success of this role. The incumbent will focus on executing tactical strategies to improve operational results through financial insights and analyses. The incumbent should have a proven track record of optimizing processes and performance.

Full Time; DAYS 8:00 am - 5:00 pm; Monday - Friday

Expected starting wage range is $203,934.37 to $251,978.83. Telecare applies geographic differentials to its pay ranges. The pay range assigned to this role will be based on the geographic location from which the role is performed. Starting pay is commensurate with relevant experience above the minimum requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

* Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in financial operations in a multi-facility healthcare environment

* Experience working cross-functionally in a leadership role, including mentoring, coaching, conflict resolution, and ability to influence and engage others in a matrix environment

* Prior experience with advanced financial management tools

* Bachelor's degree in business or finance/accounting or relevant field

* Exceptional communication skills (written, oral, interpersonal) and previous experience working with and presenting to diverse audiences

* Demonstrated proficiency in internal controls, budgeting, financial analysis and operating efficiencies

* Results-oriented with excellent judgment and creative problem-solving skills

* All opportunities at Telecare are contingent upon successful completion and receipt of acceptable results of the applicable post-offer physical examination, 2-step PPD test for tuberculosis, acceptable criminal background clearances, excluded party sanctions, and degree or license verification. If the position requires driving, a valid driver's license, a motor vehicle clearance, and proof of auto insurance is required at the time of employment and must be maintained throughout employment. Preferred:

* MBA or other relevant advanced degree

* Knowledge of GAAP

* Certifications in accounting, finance, internal audit (CPA, CFA, CIA, CMA) and/or project management (PMP, CAPM, CSM)

* Proficiency with high-level accounting software applications and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel

Clinical Quality Excellence

* Responsible for having a strong awareness of how financial decisions impact the overall quality of care for clients and effectively communicating the impact of decisions to operations partners.

* Partners with operations leadership to identify and apply changes that improve operational efficiency while maintaining appropriate internal financial controls.

* Oversees a team of Regional Financial Operations Directors ensuring their ongoing development and collaboration.

* Makes use of management practices that include empowerment of staff, the provision of clear and concise expectations regarding duties assigned to employees, frequent feedback focusing on both positive and problematic aspects of work performance, and other management practices that are consistent with Continuous Quality Improvement.

* Promotes and maintains harmonious and effective relationships and communications within the department and with other departments. Provides coaching and mentoring to increase business acumen of team and internal partners.

* Supervises staff to ensure efficiency, timely completion of assignments, appropriate training, and teamwork.

* Oversees and manages regional support staff to assist operating personnel with effective financial management.

Customer Satisfaction

Financial Security

* Builds and manages a best-in-class financial operations team

* Manages and participates in the analysis and interpretation of operating results including dashboard, scorecard and risk radar reports. Participates in monthly and quarterly business reviews

o Develops the financial operations team's capability to support the preparation of the regional team

* Analyzes significant variances between actual and planned program financial results along with recommending action to address any issues

o Communicates monthly program financial results, along with explanations of variances, to the CFO

o Provides summary reports and analysis that are easily digestible and actionable across all leadership levels




    • Collaborates regularly with VP Financial Planning & Analysis and Operations to identify and address systemic improvement opportunities by offering joint solutions and guidance
    • Actively participates as a partner in leading the region



* Assumes responsibility for the program operations budget process, including:

o Establishing or updating written procedures for budget preparation as needed

o Coordinating timely and accurate completion of internal and contractually required budgets, including operating plans, new contract revenue, and cash forecasts

* Leads efforts to educate program management about financial reporting and business literacy which may involve the development of formal curriculum and presentations

* Collaborates with other administrative staff in planning activities with the goal of ensuring ongoing effectiveness of operations

* Drives continuous improvement of a cohesive financial operations function to produce innovation in reporting, planning, and analysis
