HDR is looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Building Engineering Services team in Atlanta-GA, Raleigh-NC, or Charlotte-NC. Our team is looking for a candidate to meet the needs of our diverse client base including Healthcare, Water/Wastewater, Science and Technology, Federal, Industrial, Mission Critical and Commercial clients. We have a team with diverse experience and are actively seeking candidates with experience within one or more of the markets we serve. This individual should also have a desire to mentor and train younger electrical engineers. The Senior Electrical Engineer will be responsible for leading a team and designing projects from start to finish. This will include coordinating and working closely with clients, project managers, electrical team members, architects, other engineering disciplines, contractors, marketing staff, and all other team members. They will be responsible for developing construction documents, specifications, engineering calculations, and performing RFI responses, shop drawing reviews, site investigation and overall construction administration. Passion, self-motivation, and strong leadership skills are a must to deliver technically excellent design solutions for our clients. On a day-to-day basis, the Senior Electrical Engineer will also be expected to: * Provide detailed designs and coordination of facilities with team members * Prepare construction documents with BIM/CADD platforms * Edit and prepare design specifications * Review fee estimates, cost opinions, and write technical documents * Perform QA/QC review of construction documents and technical reports * Select equipment using vendor software and communicate with sales reps * Track and meet design budgets * Perform load calculations * Attend and lead design meetings with other team members * Provide construction administration service throughout all phases of construction Preferred Qualifications
