This role is onsite in our Omaha, Nebraska office


We are seeking a highly skilled Power Platform Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the enterprise governance, design, development, testing and validation of power platform solutions and related products. Responsible for developing and maintaining the power platform for the organization. Works with other departments within the organization to ensure the power platform is accurate and up to date. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and create innovative solutions that improve efficiency and performance. Additionally, you will ensure the security, governance, and optimization of the Power Platform environment. You will be responsible for staying up to date with the latest Power Apps and Power Automate features and trends to keep HDR's Power Platform current and work to leverage the most appropriate features for our solutions.
Job Responsibilities:
Administration and Governance:
Manage and maintain the Power Platform environments, including Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, and Power BI.
Monitor system performance to ensure high availability, security, and reliability.
Implement security best practices and manage data governance to protect sensitive data within the Power Platform.
Ensure adherence to governance policies, including data quality, security, and compliance standards.
Innovation and Continuous Improvement:
Stay current with the latest Power Platform updates, features, and best practices to drive continuous improvement.
Establish platform standards, best practices, and reference architectures for application solutions developed by teams throughout the organization using the Power platform.
Identify opportunities for automation, streamlining workflows, and improving business processes using Power Platform solutions.
Development and Enhancement:
Debug and enhance existing Power Platform solutions to improve functionality and performance.
Work closely with stakeholders to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.
Advise teams leveraging Power platform across the organization on data implementation standards and best practices that have been established by the Enterprise Data Services architecture group.
As needed, design, develop, and maintain Power Apps, Power Automate workflows, and Power BI reports to meet business needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with Microsoft Azure services and cloud computing concepts.
Microsoft Power Platform certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Fundamentals, App Maker).
Proficiency in SQL for database management and querying to support Power Platform solutions.
Experience with AI Builder for integrating AI capabilities into solutions.
Understanding of working across data sources effectively, specifically using Snowflake.
5 years of hands-on technical experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, Power BI).
Strong understanding of data governance, data policies, and report governance.
Proficiency in designing and implementing solutions using Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI.
Experience in debugging and optimizing Power Platform solutions.
Solid understanding of data modeling, reporting, and visualization concepts.
Experience with security configurations, including role-based access control (RBAC) and conditional access policies.
Ability to collaborate with stakeholders, ensuring solutions meet business needs.
Strong problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems
  • A minimum of 5 years of systems analysis, applications development and support experience with business applications
