Research Operations Manager

Develops, implements, and evaluates programs in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders and various community partners.
Creates and implements strategic visions, plans, and timelines; identifies important projects, ventures, and other partnership opportunities.
Serves as a main point of contact regarding program administrative activities; resolves complex issues.
Oversees contracts and negotiations with vendors and service providers.
Monitors, implements, and improves policies and procedures; ensures efficiency and effectiveness of operations.
Prepares complex reports, projections, and analyses for senior leadership and community partners.


Job Summary

Supports Clinical Research operations and performs various budgetary functions comprised of multiple grant-based awards, institutional funding, and tuition revenue; develops program-specific budgets as well as the annual operating budget. Manages all resources and multiple training grants and assists scholars and trainees in utilization of funds. Manages space utilization. Contributes to the development and implementation of web-based systems to support operations and training programs.


Essential Functions

Requires the ability to visualize a computer screen, to work with computer hardware and software, to communicate verbally and in writing, and to use a phone. The candidate must have strong working knowledge of English.


Physical Effort

Position is mostly sedentary work.
