Acara Solutions seeks highly qualified candidates to work onsite with our client in Gainesville, TX. Interested?

Here's what you'd do:

  • Manage the requirements on engineering projects, ensuring they are fully documented and traceable.
  • Capture and validate all stakeholders requirements, both internal and external.
  • Review requirements with subject matter experts and assigned engineering team.
  • Work closely with the assigned engineering project team to ensure the validation and verification activities are completed on time to support project milestones and design maturity targets.
  • Develop the product verification strategy and ensure agreement with all stakeholders
  • Provide status reports for requirements capture, compliance status, validation and verification.
  • Create and maintain product specification documents for internal and customer approval.
  • Liaise with engineering project team to maintain baseline product configuration and document requirements changes in the event of scope changes.
  • Identify system interfaces and create applicable interface control documents.
  • Support the engineering change process and engineering proposals in response to change requests received during the execution of engineering projects.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

Required Skills:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 12 years relevant experience in lieu of a Bachelor's Degree in related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an engineering related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience translating product requirements into product specification and compliance matrices.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience reading and analyzing 2D engineering drawings and 3D CAD models.

Preferred Skills:

  • Bachelor's of Engineering degree in Material Science, Aeronautical, Aerospace, Mechanical, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Manufacturing, Industrial, Electrical or Systems Engineering.
  • 1 year of experience in Systems Engineering, Requirements Management, Requirements Validation and Verification.
  • Ability to read and review written communication. Speech and hearing abilities that allow individual to communicate clearly and distinctly in English.
  • Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP)
    * Design Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (DFMEA)
    * Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
    * DOORS, CAMEO, SIMULINK, or similar requirements management and system modeling tools.
    * CATIA V5, Smarteam.
  • Must be able to work effectively within a geographically disperse team and multicultural team environment.
    * Must have strong relationship building and management skills.
    * Comfortable with ambiguity and limited instruction.
    * Must have the ability to drive major initiatives.
    * Must be comfortable with working multiple tasks simultaneously.
    * Able to utilize robust problem solving methods to address problems in a systematic way.
