The Data Governance Architect plays a critical role in ensuring that the organization's data is accurate, consistent, secure, and compliant with relevant regulations. This position involves implementing and maintaining data governance policies, technologies, and support structure; managing data quality; and supporting data stewardship across the organization. The Data Governance Analyst works closely with various business units, IT teams, and data owners to promote best practices in data management and to support the effective use of data for decision-making and reporting. Key responsibilities include monitoring data quality, maintaining data catalogs and metadata, ensuring compliance with data governance policies, collaborating with stakeholders to resolve data-related issues, and actively educating business units on Data Governance. Patient Population: N/A Employment Qualifications Required Education: Master's Degree in Business, Information Systems, Data Science, Engineering or relate, quantitative field from an accredited college or university Preferred Education: PhD in quantitative field Licensing/ Certification Licensure/Certification Required: Licensure/Certification Preferred: CDMP (Certified Data Mgt Professionals) or DGSP (Data Governance and Stewardship Professional) Minimum Qualifications Years and Type of Required Experience: 8 years in Data Governance/Management. 5 years SQL experience. 5 years Healthcare domain experience Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: Knowledge of modern data architecture, platforms, and frameworks; including data modeling, data ingestion, data pipelines (ETL/ELT) required. In-depth experience in Data Governance Policies, tools, best practices. Extensive experience using Data Governance technology platforms such as Microsoft Purview or Databricks Unity Catalog. Proven experience in data quality management, including the development and implementation of data quality standards, processes, and procedures. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work cross-functionally (Required proficiency). Experience utilizing Agile methodology. Ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical personas and make complex ideas understood. Demonstrate the ability to work well with others and exhibit leadership and ownership. Organizationally savvy, with a good understanding of the enterprise's political climate and how to navigate, influence and persuade political waters. Ability to understand the long-term ("big picture") and short-term perspectives of situations. Ability to comprehend quickly the functions and capabilities of new technologies. Strong SQL skills required. Experience working with Cloud technologies such as AWS/Azure/GCP preferred. Experience working with healthcare data preferred.
