As part of the Operational Excellence Team, this position will drive and communicate best practices/operational excellence initiatives alongside the Operational Excellence Manager and Trident's enterprise CSD pillar owner. Key Responsibilities:
- Establishes base operating skills for associates by using the Continuous Skills Development (CSD) process to effectively and efficiently assimilate all new associates into the plant.
- Leads the change management process for the plant in order to introduce new skills effectively to the workforce across all plant pillars.
- Creates and maintains training curriculum and agendas for all associate positions.
- Provides and reacts to metrics that will assist plant operations in prioritizing training and development needs as well as providing a means to ensure that the programs remain intact over time.
- Maintains training materials and data as required.
- Provides standardized training for plant resources such as trainers, mentors, and auditors.
- Conducts internal systems audits as required
- Maintains CSD section of the Leadership Boards and maintains annual objectives for plant CSD.
- Acts as a key part of the training process when new equipment and processes are added at the plant.
- Engages associates in the creation and maintenance of training material and other training aids.
- Creates annual training schedules and supports compliance efforts. Tracks and communicates compliance, following up when gaps in training occur.
- Researches and analyzes processes to explore potential Continuous Improvement (CI) projects and assesses potential impact.
- Conducts validation tests and analysis of project/training results on an ongoing basis.
- Creates and builds training modules within Alchemy.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Acquires knowledge of Trident's Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs and performing designated work activities in accordance with training and procedures/work instructions.
- Notifies designated personnel of any environmental or safety incidents or risks not previously documented, in accordance with Environmental Awareness and/or safety trainings.
- All other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- A minimum of five (5) years' experience in training and development or teaching; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- A minimum of five (5) years' experience working in the food industry
- Continuous Improvement experience
- Experience in production or manufacturing environment.
- Strong organization skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- HS Diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications:
- Lean Six Sigma experience preferred, Green Belt or higher desirable.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to positively influence.
- Experience with engaging a team of trainers to implement/improve systems, processes, and procedures.
- Experience with learning management systems (LMS) such as Alchemy.
- Project management experience preferred.
- Proficient language fluency in Spanish
- Practical knowledge of the following industrial machinery:
- Pac Mack Baggers, Ishida scales, case erectors, log saws, gang saws, chop saws.
