The Foreign Exchange Associate VP, under moderate supervision, is responsible for managing a $500,000+ annual FX portfolio and executing key tasks in FX trading, sales, and client retention. The role involves developing expertise in spot and forward FX hedging, pricing, and regulatory requirements, with a foundational understanding of FX options. The associate is expected to manage the sales pipeline, engage with prospects, retain clients, and contribute to fee generation and business growth.

This person will also:

  • Grow and optimize FX business and fee income.

  • Price clients for spot, cross-currency, FX swaps, and forward products, with limited oversight.

  • Understand FX documentation and regulatory requirements for trade booking.

  • Monitor FX market trends and advise clients on key market drivers.

  • Enhance processes, recommend improvements, and minimize expenses

  • Leverage internal resources for continuous skill development and networking.

  • Travel 30-50% of the time.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field or equivalent related experience. Required

Experience:

  • 4-7 years Solid foundation of and experience in FX trading/sales required. Proven ability to manage a sales cycle, including sourcing qualified prospects and closing business. Understanding of hedging concepts and market best practices. Knowledge of products and markets, e.g. payment vehicles in international trade, Export-Import Bank of the U.S., and foreign exchange products. Knowledge of countries' economic and currency situations. Required
