Administrative Assistant I - College Union - PT

Davidson College seeks a skilled and experienced candidate for Administrative Assistant for Davidson Outdoors and the College Union. The College Union is a dynamic facility on campus with year-round events and open facilities. The Davidson Outdoors program, located in the College Union, is a program and a facility that relies on well-trained student leaders to provide quality outdoor experiences to the campus. We welcome candidates who have a strong interest in student development, behind the scenes impacts, and who are ready to help us build a more inclusive and diverse community on campus.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma.
• At least two years of professional work experience.
• Experience creating positive experiences and building community.
• Experience working with Google Drive, Google Sheets, Google Forms, and Microsoft Outlook.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Three years of professional experience working with or supervising individuals ages 16-25.
• Experience with an Outdoor or Experiential Education organization, school, or program.
• Experience creating group experiences that support and sustain positive experiences for underrepresented and marginalized individuals in communities.
• Experience managing facilities and/or equipment, including purchasing, inspections and regular maintenance.
• Experience with software that included navigating automated workflow, ex. Kuali Build or Smartsheets.
• Experience working at a college or university.

Knowledge, Skills, & Training:

• Experience working with Google Drive, Google Sheets, Google Forms, and Microsoft Outlook.

Seasonal Responsibilities: This position is an 11 month annual position with the month away pre-determined to be December. Davidson Outdoors and the College Union are actively programming around the calendar. The Outdoor Odyssey program extends across the summer, with registration and leader training in the spring and Outdoor Odyssey sessions from mid-July up to the start of Orientation in mid-August.
