Global Procurement & Logistics Manager

Your role and responsibilities

Lead / manage a team of Supplier Quality Engineers globally
Establish and drive strategies that lead to sustainable improvements in the incoming quality from supply base while managing the supplier quality life cycle
Set targets and drive improvements in supplier quality using metrics such as Defective Parts Per Million (DPPM), Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), etc.
Ensure an understanding of proactive and leading indicators to pre-empt and prevent quality issues within the global supply base
Lead and ensure appropriate execution of the supplier and product qualification processes (e.g., supplier audit program, PPAPs, etc.) including maintaining a robust supplier quality management process
Ensure engagement in strategic sourcing initiatives in partnership with business stakeholders to assure that supplier quality is evaluated as a critical component within sourcing processes (Gate Model, CIPS etc.)

Qualifications for the role
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a technical degree
  • Minimum 10 years in Supplier Quality or Manufacturing Quality with a significant period spent in dealing with supplier quality issues preferred
  • Preferred experience with categories such as raw materials (steel, copper, aluminum), plastic resins, injection molded parts, sheet metal and stampings, fasteners, and castings as well as knowledge of quality standards such as IATF 16949
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
