MaineHealth Cardiology is seeking a full-time clinical cardiologist (non-interventional) for their Brunswick practice. This position also provides outreach to our clinic in Damariscotta.

Practice Details:

  • Join a collaborative team of 8 cardiologists who equally share call weeks.
  • A 1:1 APP model as well as 1:1 MA staffing with physicians. There is also full RN, device specialist, and administrative support staff.
  • Full clinic days see 17 patients
  • Separate dedicated graphics reading time
  • Provide comprehensive cardiac testing services, including stress testing, cardiac monitoring, nuclear, echocardiography, and vascular testing.
  • Procedures offered include diagnostic cardiac catheterizations, TEEs and cardioversions, and pacemaker implants.
  • Dedicated Advanced Heart Failure specialist
  • Visiting Vascular Medicine specialist in office 1-2 days a month
  • Robust cardiac device clinic
  • In-office implantation of loop recorders

The Brunswick location serves as a regional referral center for the coastal region, receiving outpatients for imaging and procedures and inpatients in transfer. For appropriate candidates there can be opportunities to participate in inpatient service at Maine Medical Center in Portland which is the tertiary care center for MaineHealth. MaineHealth Cardiology is a fully integrated cardiovascular practice that has 80+ cardiologists practicing in our Southern, Coastal, and Mountain regions of the health system. Academic opportunities within research and education are available for interested candidates.

Qualifications:
  • MD/DO from an accredited medical school.
  • Board Certification/Board Eligible.
  • Especially interested in applicants with imaging (CT) and diagnostic cardiac catheterization capability, but all are encouraged to apply.
